Michael was based in Hong Kong for four years.

• Prior to 2000, FG Wilson operated nine overseas warehouse locations.

• Each warehouse was set up as a legal entity within its country jurisdiction and purchased gensets and spare parts from the Northern Ireland-based holding company on an intercompany basis.

• Goods were then shipped and invoiced from the subsidiary company warehouse to local dealers.

• Services performed by local engineers, such as maintenance and option retrofit, were also invoiced to these dealers.

While working with overseas subsidiaries, Michael:

• Prepared monthly management accounts and budgets for the three largest subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region.

• Managed Asia Pacific finance staff and travelled to other global subsidiaries to review their systems and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Recruited finance staff and set up all systems for a new subsidiary company in Adelaide, South Australia, during this period.

• Implemented SBT Accounting Software for five subsidiary companies.

• Interfaced SBT to a bespoke Logistics and Inventory Control system.
